An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
I’m sick. I’m terrified that I have strep throat. I haven’t had strep since before I had my tonsils out when I was 15. I’m monitoring my temp, I feel like I have a fever, but the thermometer says differently. I drove by Chick-fil-a on my way to CVS and I really wanted a milk shake but I new it would just make me sick. So I picked up some cold meds and came home and made my own. If I sound proud of this, I am. Normally I would get the shake, drink about half, feel sick and regret the $5 and 425 calories. Rarely would I take the time to make my own. About a cup of lowfat frozen yogurt, 1/4 cup skim milk, 4 fresh black berries and lots of blending. Yum. (Less than 200 calories, and delicious!)
Robby (after hearing our blender): What are you doing?
Me (blending): Making a milkshake. It brings all the boys to the yard.
Robby (shaking head): I’m so mad at you.
Me (laughing uncontrollably at my own joke): I love you, too.
Of course I feel like crap, so I let Robby pick up Chinese food because I didn’t have it in me to cook. It balances out. Girl math, right? I skipped tons of calories with my milk shake, so it cancels out the honey chicken. :)
I’m drinking tea right now with raw blue agave syrup. I’m glad I sprung for the Tazo Zen green tea. My coffee never tastes as fresh as it does at Starbucks, but my tea tastes wonderful.
I am watching Kung Fu Panda right now. Robby and I started watching it Wednesday night, but I fell asleep. I woke up when Robby went to let Lanna out of our room and he said it was really good. I think Jack Black is hilarious, I think I’ll love it.
Robby got a gift certificate for the movie theater for Christmas from his parents but I think it might go to waste. We never see anything in the theaters anymore. The last time we went to the movies was to see Wall-e. Now we rely on Netflix. But in an effort to get our finances in order I’m going to cancel it next month. (I’ve already paid for this month). Now we’ll NEVER see any movies. I want to see everything with Philip Seymour Hoffman, Anne Hathaway and Jason Statham. Odd choices, I know. But I seem to love just about anything with them in it. Oh, Kate Winslet, too. I want to see that movie with her and good ol’ Leo. Revolutionary Road? Is that the name? Is it out?? I want to go to the movies now.
I think this is a totally pointless blog, in fact I’m only going to give a quick review and one picture from icanhascheezburger.com
Read The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. He’s kind of douchey in that motivational speaker kind of way, but what he says makes sense, and it’s motivating. I’m excited to start ours in February.
too cute.

Good night, have a good weekend. I won’t. I hate the Army.
